A completely different design of ultra light flying machine, self-Giro is equipped with a rotor blade without wings, like a helicopter. Â

The rotor blade does not have a fixed drive connected to the engine. The pilot engages the rotor blade of the engine before takeoff. The engine then turns pre – the rotor blade to a speed of two hundred revolutions per minute when the drive from the engine to the rotor blade is disengaged and the parking brake. Â

The propeller to push the rear mounted engine then pushes the aircraft forward. Take speed, wind face "turns self" the rotor to gain speed and lift before the aircraft is in flight. Â

Once airborne, the aircraft is normally done at a low altitude to gain speed and air speed over the rotor. With enough air and the rotor speed, it can climb a steep angle considerably. Â

Handling and maneuverability of the auto-gyro is unique compared to other models ULM and configurations. It can be flown a little later. It can turn a hundred and eighty degrees in a very short distance by around its axis. It reached a fairly high speed straight and level flight. It has the ability to land on a short runway. The aircraft is practically stationary on touchdown. When referring to the practice landings of self-gyro pilots speak of "stop and go" landing where drivers wing aircraft will call "touch and go" landings. Â

Compared to other models auto-gyro is less affected by wind and turbulence can be operated in winds much stronger than the weight transfer and models fixed wing can handle. Â

The rotor blades are manufactured from either carbon fiber or aluminum with the advantages and disadvantages both. The blade carbon fiber may win in the rotation speed more easily than the aluminum plate (not verified) but gets marks pit when is deployed in the rain. Â
