Baseball Diamond
How do I build a baseball field using the rules of construction in geometry?
I'll tell you how to build a diamond. If you want the round part on the end … it's pretty easy. This is the hardest part. Set your compass to the desired radius. Adjust not your compass during your performance with the following instructions. 1. Draw a circle. 2. Place your compass somewhere on the circle, and draw a line next to it on the circle. 3. Continue in this direction around the circle, ending 6-uniformly spaced marks. 4. Mark the point on the circle halfway between a point and a point adjacent. 4a. This is the way to Step 4. Place your compass on one of 6 points. 4b. Draw a circle of light. 4c. Do the same on the adjacent point. 4D. Marked points on the circles of light where the intersection of the two. 4th. Using your straight line marks the point on the circle where the two points on the circles light up. 5. Repeat for all six points before to have 12 total points on the circle. 6. Mark one of your 12 points. 7. Mark the third point in both directions on the circle of this first point. 8. Continue in this direction, marking every third item until you have marked Four points. 9. Draw four lines connecting the four points scored to form a diamond. If you want the round part on top of the diamond (if that's what you mean by a lot Baseball "), 10. Delete any two adjacent lines that form the diamond. Done. You can erase the circles used.
