What are your opinions about baseball and softball being taken out of the 2012 Olympic Games?

I personally am furious but what do you think? Is baseball and softball really too American?

Honestly, it shouldn’t have been taken out. With Baseball, the World Baseball Classic shows that the Americans are not a power house like they were in the old days. USA is 0 for 2 in the WBC. In the past 2 olympics, the USA didn’t even make it in 2004 in Athens, but the won the Bronze metal in 2008 in Beijing. As for softball, they are more of the power house then baseball is. They won the gold medal in 2004, but lost to Japan in the 2008 gold medal game.
